Following Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Luton Town in their Premier League clash on Saturday, manager Erik ten Hag confirmed an injury setback for young striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The Red Devils secured the win with a second-half goal from Victor Lindelöf, securing both three points and a clean sheet.

Despite the commendable performance by the 19-year-old striker, he faced disappointment as he sustained a hamstring injury.

Hojlund was substituted in the closing stages of the game, with Anthony Martial taking his place on the field.

Erik ten Hag, addressing the situation post-match, mentioned that further tests would be required to ascertain the extent of Hojlund's injury.

Ten Hag said: “In this moment I can’t say anything about it, I don’t know. We did an assessment, we have to wait for 24 hours what the conclusion is”.

Regrettably, this injury means that Rasmus Hojlund will be unavailable for international duty with the Danish national team.

Hojlund, who has yet to score his debut goal in the Premier League after participating in nine games, has previously showcased his goal-scoring prowess in the UEFA Champions League.

He added, “Rasmus has scored five goals in the Champions League. He has confidence and the goals will come”.

Notably, he netted a brace in United's midweek defeat against Copenhagen.
