Mohbad, the late singer, faces familial critique as his paternal aunt expresses strong disapproval towards Mohbad's mother and his wife, Wunmi.

In a video circulating online, identified as Mohbad's father's sister, the woman alleges that Mohbad's mother deserted her children when Mohbad was merely 8 years old, leaving behind younger siblings.

The aunt, in her statement, questions Mohbad's mother's integrity, accusing her of forsaking her children to start a family with another man. She further compares Mohbad's wife, Wunmi, to his mother, suggesting similarities in their behavior.

An earlier rebuttal by Mohbad's aunt from September offers a conflicting viewpoint. She clarified that the late singer's mother was allowed to depart with the youngest child following the end of her marriage. Moreover, she asserted that Mohbad's mother maintained contact with her three other children, who remained under the care of her ex-husband after her departure.
