Comedian Helen Paul Shares Experience of Disapproval from Boss Towards Marriage

Helen Paul, the celebrated comedian, disclosed a disheartening incident where her boss attempted to dissuade her husband from pursuing a relationship with her, going as far as belittling her in his presence.

The accomplished entertainer, who is married to Femi Bamisile and is a proud parent to three sons and one daughter, spoke candidly about the distressing encounter during an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast.

Recalling the incident, she recounted, "My boss called my husband and expressed doubts, questioning if he truly wanted to date someone like me, stating that he deserved better."

She added, "He even suggested to my husband, 'If you merely want to have a good time with her, it's acceptable.'"

The distressing sequence continued as Helen brought her husband to her workplace at the time, TVC. She narrated, "I introduced Femi to my HR, and shockingly, the HR officer scrutinized him, remarking on his clean appearance and legal profession, questioning his choice of being with me, Helen."
