Erling Haaland was removed against Bournemouth because of a twisted ankle, according to Pep Guardiola.

As you may remember, on Saturday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium, City defeated Bournemouth 6-1 to take the lead in the Premier League standings.

The striker from Norway, who has 11 goals in the Premier League this year, had to leave the game due to an injury.

Haaland seemed to be limping as he walked off the ground, raising fears that he was injured.

However, Pep Guardiola, the manager, claims he only twisted his ankle. Guardiola stated that it could just take a few days for him to return.

"He twisted the ankle. Hopefully not a big issue," Pep Guardiola told BBC.

"We'll see in the next hours and days," Guardiola added, "before confirming he is unsure whether Haaland will be fit for their next game."

In the next week, Manchester City will play Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.

Erling Haaland will not be able to play in the game as he continues to heal from his injury, according to information received.
