In a dramatic match in Istanbul, Manchester United's aspirations for the Champions League faced a setback as they were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Galatasaray, largely due to goalkeeper Andre Onana's costly errors.

The early moments saw Erik ten Hag's side take charge, securing an early lead with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes within the opening 18 minutes.

However, Galatasaray's resurgence stemmed from Andre Onana's goalkeeping mishap, as his failure to halt Hakim Ziyech's free-kick allowed the opposition to edge closer just before halftime.

Despite United's attempt to widen the gap with another goal, courtesy of Scott McTominay who capitalized on Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross, the lead was narrowed once again due to another blunder by Onana. Ziyech capitalized on the goalkeeper's second mistake, netting his second goal from a free-kick to make it 3-2.

The roller-coaster match reached its pinnacle when Galatasaray's substitute, Kerem Akturkoglu, completed the comeback with a goal, leveling the score 3-3 with 19 minutes remaining.

Manchester United's disappointment was evident as the draw significantly impacted their prospects in the Champions League, signaling yet another stumbling block in their pursuit of advancement in the tournament.
