James Maddison has taken to his social media space to write an open letter to fans of Tottenham Hotspur after their defeat to Wolves.
In the aftermath of Tottenham Hotspur's consecutive defeat, James Maddison chose to express his thoughts in an open letter via his social media platform.

The North London team, grappling with the absence of key players due to injuries and suspension, faced a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton during their Premier League away match on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou's squad initially took the lead with Brennan Johnson scoring three minutes into the game.

However, the absence of James Maddison, their talisman, hindered Spurs from finding their rhythm throughout the match. Wolves, capitalizing on this opportunity, displayed a superior performance, scoring two goals in the 90th minute.

The turning point for Wolverhampton occurred when Martin O'Neil introduced Sarabia, who not only equalized but also contributed to Lermina's goal with an assist. This marked a significant shift in the game, showcasing Wolverhampton's commendable performance.

Post-game, James Maddison extended words of encouragement to the disappointed Tottenham fans through his social media handle.

He tweeted,"The rollercoaster that is football unfortunately. Will need a period of time away from the pitch to get this one right. See you in the new year Spurs fans, I’ll be back better & stronger for sure, promise you that"

The English international, unfortunately, faces an extended period on the sidelines, anticipating his return to the field next year due to an ankle injury sustained in the match against Chelsea last week.
