Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino refuses to lay blame on striker Nicolas Jackson for his missed chances in the 2-1 loss against Wolverhampton.
In a Christmas Eve clash at the Molineux, Chelsea faced a disappointing defeat despite numerous opportunities, particularly in the first half, that could have secured the win.

Despite Nicolas Jackson's inability to convert some key goal-scoring chances during the match, Pochettino refrains from criticizing the striker, highlighting his previous achievement of scoring 7 goals in 17 games this season.

Pochettino shared his perspective on Nico Jackson, stating, "If we compare Nico to different strikers that arrive at his age to a new league, he is scoring goals when you look at his performances."

While Jackson's performance since his summer arrival from Villarreal may not have been entirely convincing, Pochettino emphasizes the striker's youth and first-season challenges in the Premier League. Pochettino added, "He is young, first PL season, the expectation is massive, we are Chelsea. Blame all together, not just one."

Wolves capitalized on Chelsea's poor defensive display in the second half, with Mario Lemina securing the lead in the 51st minute through a header, followed by Matt Doherty's second goal in the 93rd minute. Despite Christopher Nkunku pulling a goal back for Chelsea in the 96th minute, Wolves held on for the victory.

Chelsea looks to bounce back on Boxing Day as they face Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.
