Former Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil Pokes Fun at Tottenham Hotspur's Recent Poor Form

Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has taken a dig at Tottenham Hotspur, deriding their string of disappointing performances in recent games.

Ange Postecoglou's team has encountered a rough patch, failing to secure any victories in their last three outings in the Premier League.

The downfall has seen Tottenham slide down to the fifth position in the league standings.

Tottenham's struggle began around October, resulting in their drop in the league table.

Despite a strong start to the season under new manager Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have faced a winless streak in their last five matches. The team's last triumph dates back to their match against Crystal Palace at the conclusion of October.

Since their encouraging 3-3 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad, Tottenham has faced defeats against Chelsea, Wolves, Aston Villa, and West Ham.

Mesut Ozil recently responded to a post shared by Opta Stat following Tottenham's 2-1 loss to West Ham United at their home ground during the midweek fixtures. Opta Stat highlighted Tottenham's historical performance, noting that they are the first side in Premier League history to fail to win five consecutive matches despite taking a 1-0 lead in each game.

Additionally, they've also become the first team to lose three consecutive home games despite initially leading 1-0.

In response to Opta Stat's revelation, the former Arsenal star commented, "Who else should be able to break that record? 😬 Bottle Job FC is back," ridiculing Tottenham's recent struggles and labelling them as 'Bottle Job FC.'
