Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provides updates on key players ahead of clash with Newcastle United.

In anticipation of their upcoming Premier League fixture on New Year's Day at Anfield against Newcastle United, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp addressed the team's current player status.

Klopp revealed on Friday that Argentine midfielder Mac Allister has rejoined the team at the AXA training ground after missing the last six matches due to a significant cut on his left knee.
Expressing optimism about Mac Allister's progress, Klopp stated, "He could join team training today, let’s see. Getting closer for sure." However, the situation differs for Scottish defender Andy Robertson, who is still sidelined due to a serious shoulder injury.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Robertson recently underwent surgery and is in the recovery phase. The Liverpool boss noted, "Robertson had quite a big surgery, so not even close to team training. He is good, for sure for January he will be back." The Reds, therefore, prepare for their upcoming fixture with a mix of positive news and ongoing challenges on the injury front.
