Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag Confirms No January Signings
In a recent statement, Erik ten Hag, the coach of Manchester United, has unequivocally declared that the club will not be making any signings during the upcoming January transfer window.
Manchester United has been grappling with subpar performances throughout the current season, with a notable setback being their elimination from the UEFA Champions League group stage earlier this month, finishing at the bottom.
Ten Hag's team secured only one victory, against Copenhagen, but faced consecutive defeats against Bayern and Galatasaray.
As the Red Devils gear up for a clash with West Ham this weekend, Erik ten Hag addressed the press, categorically dismissing the possibility of signing new players in January.
The team is currently facing defensive challenges, with key players like Lisandro Martinez, Lindelof, and Harry Maguire sidelined due to injuries. Additionally, Mason Mount and Casemiro are unavailable for selection.
When questioned about potential January signings, Ten Hag stated, "I’m content with the existing squad. We just had too many players not available."
Manchester United, currently occupying the 7th position in the EPL standings, is set to face West Ham at the London Stadium. Despite the setbacks, Ten Hag remains optimistic about the team's prospects, expressing confidence in the returning injured players.
He affirmed, "When players like Casemiro, Martinez, and Mason Mount are back, we will be much stronger after the window."
