In a recent statement, Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of Chelsea, addressed the future of midfielder Conor Gallagher, who currently has 18 months remaining on his contract.
Throughout the ongoing season, Gallagher has emerged as a pivotal player under Pochettino's leadership. Having spent the previous season on loan at Crystal Palace, the 23-year-old seems poised to continue his journey at Chelsea, where he initially graduated from the academy.
Gallagher's impactful performance includes 16 games played and 4 assists, establishing him as a key figure in Pochettino's midfield early in the season.
Expressing his excitement about the English midfielder's progress, Pochettino acknowledges that the decision regarding Gallagher's contract extension lies with the club, emphasizing that it's not within the coach's purview.
