Federal Senators Unite in Solidarity: December Salaries Pledged to Kaduna Bombing Victims

In a display of solidarity, all 109 Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have declared their commitment to donate their December salaries to the victims affected by the tragic bombing incident in Kaduna last Sunday.

Senator Barau I. Jibrin, Deputy President of the Senate, conveyed this significant announcement during a high-profile delegation's visit to the Kaduna State Government House on Sunday, December 10. The delegation, led by Senator Jibrin, was warmly welcomed by Governor Uba Sani.

This philanthropic gesture comes in response to the unfortunate mishap in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area, where unmanned drones mistakenly deployed by the Military resulted in the loss of over 100 lives on the night of Sunday, December 3.

The aftermath left numerous others injured, prompting the Senators' collective decision to contribute their December salaries towards aiding the affected victims. This unified effort underscores the Senate's commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis.
