Comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has recently undergone a second leg surgery, following the amputation of one of his legs just weeks ago.
In a recent development, sources have revealed that John Okafor, famously known as Mr. Ibu, has undergone yet another surgical procedure, involving the removal of a portion of the same leg that was amputated last month. His health has reportedly deteriorated to the extent that he now communicates sparingly.
Expressing concern over the declining health of another seasoned actor, Amaechi Muonagor, there are mounting worries as he remains hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State, for an extended period exceeding two months.
Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the health status of both actors during a telephone conversation. Dr. Rollas conveyed, "We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr. Ibu hardly talks again and has undergone another leg amputation."
He continued, "You will shed tears if you see Amaechi Muonagor now; his legs are completely paralyzed. I'm calling on all fans and well-wishers of the actor to join hands with other philanthropic Nigerians to support him in this dire time."
