Onana's Return to Manchester United Following Cameroon's AFCON Elimination

Andre Onana was recently seen aboard a private jet, making his way back to Manchester United after Cameroon faced elimination from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

If you were unaware, the Indomitable Lions suffered a setback in the AFCON journey, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat against Nigeria last week.

Onana, who joined the national team belatedly due to his commitment to feature in Manchester United's FA Cup match followed by an English Premier League (EPL) match, faced initial challenges. He missed Cameroon's opening 2023 AFCON match against Mozambique due to a delayed flight caused by adverse weather conditions.

Despite this setback, Onana made his presence felt in Cameroon's defeat to Senegal during the second group stage match. However, he was benched in the final group stage match against Gambia, which Cameroon won to secure qualification.

In a surprising move, Cameroon's coach R. Song decided to keep Onana on the bench during their round of 16 #AFCON2023 clash against Nigeria, resulting in a loss for the team.

The former Inter Milan goalkeeper was captured striking a stylish pose on a private plane as he headed back to England.

Looking ahead, Manchester United is scheduled to face Wolverhampton on Thursday in their upcoming Premier League encounter. The question remains whether Onana will reclaim his starting position for Erik ten Hag's side.
