Chelsea Star Lauren James' Goal Celebration Takes Center Stage
In a remarkable display of skill, Chelsea's Lauren James achieved a stunning hat-trick, propelling her team to a 3-1 victory. Having initiated her professional journey with the Red Devils, James signed with the Blues in 2021.
Amid Chelsea's dominance, Guro Reiten and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd orchestrated a composed play in the penalty area. This led to Lauren James finding herself on the right side of the box, where her precise strike, aided by a deflection off Man United's Millie Turner, eluded goalkeeper Mary Earps.
Rather than celebrating among her current teammates, James intentionally directed her jubilation towards the Manchester United fans, making a clear statement about the scorer of the opening goal. Subsequently, she added a second goal, once again from the right side of the box, this time celebrating with her Chelsea teammates and supporters.
Despite a response from Manchester United's Hayley Ladd before halftime, James ultimately sealed the triumph. In the absence of the injured superstar striker Sam Kerr, James showcased her prowess by breaking through the Red Devils' defense for the final goal.
