Sergio Reguilón has officially concluded his loan tenure with Manchester United, marking the end of his six-month association with the team. The decision for his return to Tottenham Hotspur was triggered by Manchester United's activation of a clause in the loan agreement.

Erik ten Hag initially brought Reguilón to Old Trafford at the beginning of the season from Tottenham Hotspur. The move came in response to defensive challenges faced by Manchester United, with several players sidelined due to injuries.

However, the loan arrangement has been curtailed prematurely by Manchester United, citing a reduced number of games in the latter half of the season and the return of previously injured players to the team.

During his brief stint with Manchester United, Reguilón featured in just nine Premier League games. Taking to his social media platform, the Spanish international expressed gratitude to the club, fans, and teammates, stating, "It has been great to play for Manchester United, and I just want to say thank you to the club, the fans, and my teammates. It was a privilege to play for this huge club. I wish all the best for the Red Devils."

The future remains uncertain as to whether Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, will retain Sergio Reguilón upon his return. Although Reguilón doesn't appear to be in the immediate plans of the Spurs' manager, injuries within the team could potentially open opportunities for the left full-back.
