Bellingham Excited as Kroos Resumes International Duty for Euro 2024
Jude Bellingham has shared his thoughts on Toni Kroos' surprising decision to end his international retirement and represent Germany in the upcoming European Championship. In January, it was disclosed that Kroos was reconsidering his retirement from the national team, marking a return after more than two years of stepping away from the international stage.
The news suggests that Kroos might feature in matches against France on March 23 and the Netherlands on March 26, under the management of Julian Nagelsmann.
Announcing his change of heart on Instagram, Kroos stated, "People, short and painless: I will play for Germany again in March. Why? Because I was asked by the federal coach." He expressed enthusiasm, saying, "I'm in the mood, and I'm sure that with the team at the European Championship, much more is possible than most believe right now!"
In response, Bellingham, who has formed a dynamic midfield partnership with Kroos at the Bernabeu this season, conveyed his excitement with a succinct statement: "He's back."
