Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag Reveals Injury Concerns Ahead of FA Cup Clash with Nottingham

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has disclosed to club media that he is contending with additional injury setbacks as they gear up to face Nottingham Forest.

Following their recent defeat against Fulham with a score of 2-1 at the Old Trafford stadium over the weekend, the Red Devils find themselves facing further challenges in their upcoming FA Cup encounter against Nottingham Forest.

In a press conference leading up to the match, Erik ten Hag confirmed that Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane will be sidelined due to injuries. However, he reassured that Casemiro is fit and available despite sustaining a head knock during Saturday's game against Fulham.

The absence of Harry Maguire for the Forest clash adds to the growing list of sidelined players, which includes Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw.

Furthermore, Raphael Varane's availability remains uncertain, potentially leaving Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala, and Victor Lindelof as the primary defensive options for Manchester United.

In addition to the defensive setbacks, Manchester United also faces concerns over the fitness of key midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who is known for his consistent presence on the field. Fernandes appeared to have suffered a knock towards the end of the Fulham match but persisted until the final whistle.

The injury list extends further with players like Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Anthony Martial all currently sidelined, further complicating Manchester United's lineup choices for the upcoming fixtures.
