The English midfielder, acquired from Chelsea for a staggering £55 million despite having just 12 months left on his contract, made his league debut against Wolves after nearly six months without a Premier League start.
Unfortunately, Mount's promising start was halted by a hamstring injury during United's 2-0 defeat to Spurs in August, keeping him out for over a month. Although he returned in late September and embarked on a series of fixtures in October, a calf injury has since kept him out of action.
Since joining United, Mount has spent over 100 days on the sidelines, missing crucial matches for the club.
While updates on Mount have been sparse in Erik ten Hag's press conferences, the Dutch manager remains optimistic about the 25-year-old's potential, despite acknowledging his disappointing debut season.
