Arsenal Manager Provides Fitness Updates on Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shed light on the fitness statuses of Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus as the Gunners gear up for their upcoming Premier League encounter against West Ham.
The North London club is set to visit the London Stadium this Sunday for a crucial match. Addressing reporters ahead of the game, Arteta revealed that Partey is still in the recovery phase following a setback he experienced several weeks ago.
Partey, a 31-year-old midfielder, has been sidelined since September due to a groin injury, which has kept him out of action for an extended period.
Arteta commented on Partey's progress, stating, "He’s progressing really well but it’s a bit too soon to tell you exactly when we’re going to have him back."
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus continues to grapple with a knee injury, with the club actively managing his condition. Ahead of a recent fixture against Liverpool, Arteta confirmed that Jesus would be unavailable due to the ongoing knee problem.
Jesus underwent surgery last year, which saw him sidelined for the latter half of the previous season. Arteta provided no further updates on Jesus' condition, indicating that the club is working to manage the issue effectively and prevent any further complications.
