Mauricio Pochettino assured of support from Chelsea's board despite speculations about his future
Mauricio Pochettino, the former manager of PSG and Tottenham Hotspur, has dismissed rumors of his impending departure from Chelsea, revealing that the club's board has continued to support him. Recent speculations have suggested that Pochettino might leave the club at the end of the season, fueled by the Blues' recent results.
Under Pochettino's tenure, Chelsea's new owners have invested heavily, spending over £1 billion on player signings as part of their efforts to rebuild the team. However, concerns have arisen regarding the integration of the young Chelsea squad into Pochettino's coaching philosophy, leading to questions about the patience of owner Todd Boehly.
Despite these uncertainties, Pochettino remains confident in his position. Ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup replay clash, he disclosed that he had received a supportive message from the club's board following their defeat to Wolverhampton. Pochettino affirmed, “I received a very good text after the game against Wolves from the owners. We’re all together in this!”
The recent setback against Wolverhampton saw Chelsea suffer a 4-2 defeat in their Premier League encounter over the weekend.
Despite the loss, Pochettino reiterated his belief that his job at Chelsea is secure, indicating a unified front within the club's leadership.
