Stanley Nwabali, goalkeeper for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, was recently awarded the esteemed title of Ugo Egbema, “The Pride of Egbema Kingdom,” in Mgbede community.
In a ceremony presided over by His Royal Majesty, Nzeobi Evaristus Amida, the traditional ruler of Mgbede, Nwabali was recognized for his remarkable performance in leading Nigeria to the 2024 AFCON finals.
His exceptional display during the 2023 African Cup of Nations, where Nigeria secured second place, contributed significantly to this recognition.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, also applauded Nwabali's achievements, honoring him with a state distinction and a generous gift of N20 million.
