Conor Gallagher, the Chelsea midfielder, is under scrutiny as TV presenter Richard Keys advocates a ban for players cutting holes in their socks.
During Chelsea's game against Man City, Raheem Sterling initially put Chelsea in the lead with a counter-attack, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Despite missed opportunities for Chelsea, including chances for Nicolas Jackson and Sterling, Manchester City equalized with Rodri's goal.
Meanwhile, Richard Keys expressed dissatisfaction with Gallagher's sock-cutting antics, posting on his social media account and calling for an end to the practice.
Keys, a 66-year-old beIN Sports presenter, referenced the Spanish ban on sock-cutting and suggested it's time for similar measures in football.
Although Gallagher is not the first to adopt this trend, players have been cutting holes in their socks for years to alleviate pressure on calf muscles.
This practice aims to address issues related to sock tightness, which can impact blood flow, circulation, and the breathability of the muscular shape of players' legs.
