Kalvin Phillips Shares Insights on Kevin De Bruyne with West Ham Teammates
Michail Antonio recently disclosed what Kalvin Phillips conveyed to his new West Ham teammates regarding Kevin De Bruyne, following Phillips' loan move from Manchester City.
Phillips, who joined David Moyes' squad on loan until the season's end, had struggled for playing time at Manchester City since his transfer from Leeds United two seasons ago.
During West Ham's recent matches, Phillips, aged 28, made his debut as a starter in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth and also played 19 minutes off the bench in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Antonio, sidelined due to a knee injury sustained while on international duty with Jamaica, shared the insight Phillips provided about De Bruyne to the West Ham squad.
Michail Antonio quoted Phillips, stating: "When Kalvin came to West Ham, the first thing I said to him is, 'How good is Kevin De Bruyne really?' He went, 'Outstanding. He sees passes that nobody else sees.' He added, 'He says all you need to do is run and he will find your feet. When him and [Erling] Haaland are together, I see an assist!'"
