Mikel Arteta Confirms Potential Return of Saka and Martinelli
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has provided positive updates regarding the potential fitness of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli for the upcoming match against Manchester City.
The Gunners are gearing up for a crucial Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday.
Currently leading the Premier League standings, Arsenal aims to further solidify their position atop the table with a favorable result against Manchester City, capitalizing on their superior goal difference.
However, the availability of key players like Saka and Martinelli has been uncertain due to fitness concerns.
Saka recently withdrew from the England squad during the international break, while Martinelli has been contending with a foot injury.
Arteta expressed optimism during a Friday press conference, stating, “There’s a chance to see Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhães playing against Man City, yeah.”
Despite both players having not trained yet, Arteta hinted at their potential inclusion, mentioning they would join the team for a session the following day, stating, “They have not trained yet, tomorrow we have another session… but there is a chance they can be part of the squad.”
