Eniola Ajao rectifies controversy by awarding new Best Dressed Females and extending heartfelt apologies to affected parties.
Eniola Ajao Rectifies Controversy: Awards Bose Alao and Another Best Dressed Female, Extends Apologies
Nollywood luminary Eniola Ajao is making reparations in the wake of a contentious decision, opting to honor two attendees, Bose Alao and another, as Best Dressed Female at her recent movie premiere.
Recent events saw the actress facing significant backlash for her earlier declaration of Bobrisky, a prominent Nigerian crossdresser, as the Best Dressed Female during the premiere.
In an interview with Arise News TV, Eniola disclosed that the decision to award Bobrisky was a calculated move, part of a publicity stunt and marketing tactic aimed at garnering attention for her film. She acknowledged Bobrisky's controversial persona as a driving factor behind the decision, hoping it would generate heightened interest in her project.
Acknowledging the repercussions, Eniola expressed remorse for unintentionally implicating Femi Adebayo, who was unaware of her intentions and merely sought to support her as the presenter of the evening.
Taking to her Instagram platform, Eniola issued a comprehensive statement, announcing her intention to offer one million naira each to the two women in restitution. She penned a heartfelt apology addressing the Muslim community, women, Dayo Amusa, Femi Adebayo, his wife, and Bobrisky, all of whom were affected by the controversy.
