Pep Guardiola Voices Concerns Over Fixture Congestion Ahead of Manchester City's UCL Encounter with Real Madrid

Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, has voiced his dissatisfaction with the congested fixture list his team faces.

Earlier today, Manchester City, currently positioned third in the Premier League standings, are set to welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola is now gearing up his squad for a trip to Aston Villa in just three days' time. Furthermore, he highlighted that City will then have to face Crystal Palace the following Saturday before embarking on a journey to Spain to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Guardiola expressed his frustration, citing the tight turnaround in matches, stating, "We play Aston Villa at 20:15, then 12:30 vs Crystal Palace Saturday, 12:30! After we go to Madrid on Tuesday."

Guardiola Laments Real Madrid's Advantage

Adding to his concerns, Guardiola emphasized that Real Madrid will have significantly more time to prepare for their upcoming Champions League clash.

"Madrid have nine days to prepare, nine days! I'd like to think: oh give me one more day, because the difference is a lot. No chance..." Guardiola lamented.
