Arsenal's Defeat to QPR in Behind-Closed-Doors Friendly
Arsenal suffered a 4-0 defeat against QPR in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
The match saw limited involvement of first-team players, with Thomas Partey playing for 60 minutes and Takehiro Tomiyasu for 45 minutes.
The defeat came as QPR fielded a relatively strong team against an Arsenal side predominantly comprised of under-21s players.
Despite Partey's involvement in several attacking moves, Arsenal couldn't prevent a routine win for QPR.
This friendly marked an opportunity for both Partey and Tomiyasu to continue their returns from injury, with Tomiyasu having recently returned to the matchday squad after a calf problem, and Partey having played just 41 minutes since August due to muscle injuries.
The match also saw the absence of Jurrien Timber, who is recovering from an ACL injury and is expected to be available for the upcoming games.
Arsenal's line-up for the match included mainly under-21 players, as the team prepares for upcoming challenging fixtures in the season.
Mikel Arteta side who are two points ahead of third placed Manchester City will face each other next weekend in the Premier League.
