Franklin unveiled this revelation on an episode of The Afrobeats podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide. He recounted how PSquare's move left him feeling slighted, vowing to turn down their offer, even if it amounted to a staggering $50 million for Iyanya.

According to Franklin, the encounter unfolded at the mansion of PSquare, accompanied by their manager, Jude Okoye, where they convened to discuss a potential record deal. However, Franklin was asked to remain outside while Iyanya entered the premises.

Despite PSquare's assurance to send the contract via email later, Franklin revealed that he never responded to their correspondence. Subsequently, when Iyanya raised concerns about the lack of communication from PSquare, Franklin suggested they establish their own record label as a means to garner credibility in the industry.

Reflecting on the incident, Franklin expressed his frustration, stating, "We got there, Jude, Paul, and Peter told me to wait outside and called Iyanya into the house. I was boiling outside. Iyanya would have gotten that deal with PSquare but the fact that they said I should wait outside, my ego was bruised."

Moreover, Franklin disclosed that during the same period, prominent Hip Hop artist, Eldee, extended a more favorable offer to Iyanya. However, their initial inclination towards PSquare stemmed from the allure of accompanying benefits.

In a poignant revelation, Franklin emphasized his steadfast loyalty, affirming, "You know what I said to them, ‘Even if I was offered $50 million, I would reject the deal.’ Guess what Eldee’s deal was actually better than theirs."
