Arsenal legend, Martin Keown, has heaped praise on Kai Havertz, hailing him as an intelligent player.
Keown's commendation comes following Havertz's standout performance for Arsenal in their Premier League 2-0 victory over Luton Town on Wednesday.
Havertz, who made a £65 million switch from Chelsea to Arsenal last summer, played a pivotal role in the match at Emirates Stadium, providing an assist during the clash against Luton Town.
"I wasn’t sure at the beginning, he played as a centre forward in the Community Shield and I didn’t see the work-rate or the running in the channels. He moved back into midfield but now he’s in his best position as a front player," Keown told TNT Sports, highlighting Havertz's positional evolution.
Kai Havertz played a crucial part in Arsenal's opening goal against Luton Town, laying the pass for Martin Odegaard to slot home from close range.
Adding to his appraisal, Martin Keown remarked, "He’s so intelligent and keeps disappearing from the defenders. He can be really effective and it is really working for Arsenal at the moment." Keown emphasized Havertz's ability to outsmart opponents and contribute significantly to Arsenal's recent success.
