In a poignant narrative shared by Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, she unveils the emotional turmoil endured alongside fellow colleagues Regina Daniels and her mother Rita Daniels, among other prominent movie stars, in a desperate attempt to save Junior Pope's life.
Junior Pope, amid filming for the movie 'The Other Side of Life' directed by Adanma Luke, was involved in a boat accident while departing from the film set.
Recounting the harrowing experience on Instagram, Ruth Kadiri revealed the relentless vigil maintained at the hospital by herself, AGN president Emeka Rollas, Regina Daniels, her mother Rita, and several other notable figures from the movie industry, persisting until the early hours of the morning, clinging to the slimmest hope of rescuing Junior Pope.
Ruth expressed her gratitude, stating, "Special thanks to @emekarollas our president @regina.daniels @vivyan.gabriel and Regina’s mum! You were at the hospital at 2/3 am trying to see if anything can be done! Fighting for the last chance to save JP! God sees your hearts… sadly his journey ends here. 💔 God help us all."

Amidst the tragedy, Ruth Kadiri urged against assigning blame in the wake of Junior Pope's untimely passing. She emphasized that filmmakers, by the very nature of their profession, willingly embrace risks in the pursuit of their craft.
"My heart is broken… as producers, as filmmakers we all are Guilty of taking certain risks for this job! Infact getting home at 3 am is almost a norm in this business… I cannot throw stones, I cannot ask why! 🥹 this is a call to reminder that passion doesn’t save lives… JP! May God receive your soul! And grant your family the heart to bear the loss!"
