Sporting CP's coach, Ruben Amorim, has offered a public apology to the club and its supporters after his recent trip to London to explore the possibility of assuming the coaching role at West Ham United.
Amorim's excursion to the English capital coincided with rumors linking him to the managerial position at West Ham, amid reported struggles faced by current coach David Moyes. Despite the swirling speculation, Amorim expressed regret regarding the timing of his actions.

Reflecting on the situation, Amorim acknowledged the inappropriateness of the timing, stating that it was "completely wrong."
