Declan Rice, the star midfielder for Arsenal, offered his sincere assessment of playing alongside Thomas Partey following Arsenal's triumph over Bournemouth.
Rice, who claimed the man of the match award in the clash against Bournemouth, showcased his prowess with a goal and an assist.
Since his transition from West Ham, the 25-year-old midfielder appears to have refined his playing style.
In the encounter with Bournemouth, Rice demonstrated his adaptability by providing a crucial assist to Leandro Trossard's second goal. He then sealed the victory with a spectacular angled shot in stoppage time.
Reflecting on the win, Rice expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with Thomas Partey, who recently returned from injury.
Acknowledging Partey's influence, Rice highlighted his composure on the ball and his ability to create space with deceptive body feints.
Rice said, “It’s massive. The prospect of playing with Thomas, he’s been injured all season, I’ve been so excited.”
Furthermore, Rice emphasized how Partey's presence in midfield allows him the freedom to venture forward, evident in his goal and assist against Bournemouth.
Partey, who has started the last three games for Arsenal following his recovery, endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a thigh injury sustained in October 2023.
Despite his absence, Partey's return has been pivotal in Arsenal's recent victories, including the triumph over Bournemouth.
Rice also commended the camaraderie among Arsenal's players, noting the chemistry on the pitch and describing the team as one big family.
Rice added; “I knew the type of players I was coming to play with. Martin (Odegaard) has been great. You can see the chemistry on the pitch. It’s like one big family in there.”
