Manchester United players reacts after Anthony Martial announce his exit.
After seven years at Old Trafford, Anthony Martial is set to leave Manchester United this summer. The French attacker's contract expires next month, and he will depart the club having made a significant impact during his time there.
Martial joined Manchester United in 2015 and quickly established himself as a key player, scoring 17 goals in his debut season. He went on to make 264 appearances for the club, netting 50 goals in all competitions. His impressive performances helped the team win several honors, including the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, EFL Cup, and UEFA Europa League.
Despite his talent and contributions, Martial has struggled with persistent injury problems over the last three years, limiting his playing time. His final appearance for the club came on December 9, and he has since been recovering from groin surgery and illness.
As Martial prepares to bid farewell to Manchester United, his teammates have taken to social media to express their well wishes and gratitude for their time playing alongside him. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen, Marcus Rashford, and Bruno Fernandes are among those who have sent heartfelt messages, acknowledging the memories they shared on and off the pitch.
Wan-Bissaka wrote, "My guy,’ while Eriksen added, "All the best, Anto." Rashford reminisced, "So many memories together. Stay blessed, brother."
Fernandes, meanwhile, expressed his sadness at no longer being able to play alongside Martial, saying, "I'm going to miss linking up with you, toto."
