Lokonga to Leave Arsenal: Midfielder Reveals 'Best Solution' is to Depart
Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has indicated that his time at the club is drawing to a close, despite his impressive performances during a loan spell at Luton Town.

In a recent interview with VOO Sport, Lokonga revealed that he has held discussions with the club and agreed that the best solution for his career is to leave Arsenal.

"My time at Arsenal is slowly coming to an end, I think so," Lokonga stated. "I had a discussion with the club and what was said is that the best solution for me was to leave."

Lokonga's departure from the Emirates Stadium comes as no surprise, given his limited playing time and struggles to break into Mikel Arteta's first-team plans. Despite his impressive displays during loan spells at Crystal Palace and Luton Town, the Belgian midfielder has found it challenging to secure a regular spot in the Arsenal squad since his transfer from Anderlecht in 2021.

The 24-year-old's decision to leave Arsenal is likely driven by his desire for more playing time and a fresh challenge. Lokonga has made significant progress during his loan spells, and his performances have attracted attention from other clubs. Arsenal, meanwhile, is prioritizing the signing of a new midfielder, with top-level names like Bruno Guimaraes and Frenkie De Jong linked to the club.

While Lokonga's departure is yet to be officially confirmed, it is clear that his time at Arsenal is coming to an end. The club is open to both loan and permanent deal proposals, depending on the fee or the player's preference. As Lokonga seeks a new challenge, Arsenal will be looking to bolster their midfield options with fresh talent.
