Despite his subdued performance in the match, it wasn't the reason behind PSG's team bus leaving without him. According to reports from Le Parisien, Mbappe was selected for a random drug test, a common occurrence after matches.

Teams often aim to leave stadiums promptly post-match, leading to instances where players are inadvertently left behind. Mbappe eventually caught up with his team at the airport terminal, arriving in a private car before joining the flight back to Paris.
