Finidi George, the newly appointed Head Coach of the Super Eagles, has announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles will face South Africa's Bafana Bafana on Match Day 3 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, before traveling to face Benin Republic on Match Day 4 during the international window of June 3-11.
Notable inclusions in the squad are Sadiq Ismail, who receives his first call-up, and Olorunleke Ojo, who joins him as the two home-based players selected for the crucial qualifying matches.
