Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced that Timo Werner will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. The former Chelsea striker is set to sit out Tottenham's remaining matches due to a hamstring injury.
Werner, who was substituted during Tottenham Hotspur's EPL clash against Arsenal last Sunday, exited the field in the first half due to the injury.
Manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Werner will be absent for the next three weeks due to the injury, effectively ruling him out for the rest of the season. "There's two-and-a-half weeks left so he will miss the rest of the season," Postecoglou stated.
Werner, who joined Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig, faces uncertainty regarding Spurs' decision to activate the clause to sign him permanently.
