Former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has demonstrated his commitment to the club by confirming he will not seek compensation for his dismissal. Despite being let go just weeks after being urged to stay by club president Joan Laporta, Xavi remains gracious and understanding.

In his final press conference, Xavi expressed gratitude towards Laporta and the club leadership, stating, "I'm grateful to the president and I haven't had any problems with the leaders. I'm a club man and I've adapted to the circumstances. The president gave me his reasons and I have no choice but to accept his decision."

Xavi also announced his intention to take a break from management, with no immediate plans to return to the dugout. "I haven't thought about it. Now I think I need a break. I love this club and hopefully it will give me the opportunity to work again in the future at the club of my life."

Crucially, Xavi has confirmed he will forego the compensation owed to him, easing the financial burden on Barcelona ahead of the transfer window. "There won't be a problem on this, I said it before. I will keep my word."

Xavi's classy departure has earned him widespread respect, cementing his status as a true Barcelona legend.
