Kai Havertz Reflects on His Decision to Join Arsenal from Chelsea
In a recent interview with Welt am Sonntag, Kai Havertz expressed his contentment with his transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal, stating, "The change from Chelsea to Arsenal was worth it."
Havertz acknowledged the initial displeasure from both sets of fans, saying, "Chelsea fans were angry that I left, the Arsenal fans weren’t so enthusiastic either, because it didn’t go so well at the start..." However, he emphasized the importance of support from his inner circle, adding, "Then there is strength when the coach, teammates, and the people in your close environment stand by you and support you."
Since joining Arsenal in June 2023 for a reported transfer fee of £65 million, Havertz has made over 45 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals. Despite a challenging start, Havertz has successfully adapted to his new team and proven his value on the pitch.
