Prominent Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has made a shocking claim regarding the reason for Bobrisky's ongoing imprisonment. Contradicting the official statement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olunloyo alleged that Bobrisky's detention is not related to Naira abuse, but rather due to charges related to homosexuality.
In a tweet, Olunloyo stated, "Bobrisky is not in prison for Naira abuse. The EFCC lied to you. He's there for practicing homosexuality." This revelation has sparked widespread attention and debate, as Bobrisky's arrest and incarceration have been highly publicized.
Bobrisky, whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, was arrested by the EFCC on June 15, 2023, and has remained in custody since then. The official charges and reasons for the arrest and continued detention are yet to be officially confirmed by the authorities.
