Kvaratskhelia's Future at Napoli Uncertain as Agent Jugeli Speaks Out
In an exclusive interview with Sport Imedi, Kvaratskhelia's agent, Jugeli, has provided insight into the Georgia forward's future at Napoli. Amidst speculation surrounding a potential departure from the Italian club during the summer transfer window, Jugeli revealed that Kvaratskhelia's priorities lie elsewhere, despite Napoli's ambitious plans under Conte.
Kvaratskhelia signed a five-year deal with Napoli in July 2022, reportedly worth €10-12 million. Since his debut, he has made a significant impact, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists, earning him the Serie A MVP award.
When asked about Kvaratskhelia's future, Jugeli stated, "We want to leave Napoli, but now we're all waiting for Euro 2024." He acknowledged Napoli's ambitions, saying, "With Conte, Napoli have big plans. I'm sure they will qualify for the Champions League again next season and fight for the Scudetto." However, he clarified that this does not necessarily mean Kvaratskhelia intends to stay, stating, "I don't mean it."
Jugeli emphasized that Kvaratskhelia's focus currently lies with the national team, saying, "I didn't talk with Khvicha about this issue, the most important thing for him is the national team." He expressed concern about Kvaratskhelia's career, stating, "Our goal is the team that plays in the Champions League. The worst thing is that if he stays here, Khvicha will lose 1 year because of that… we are worried."
As the summer transfer window approaches, Kvaratskhelia's future at Napoli remains uncertain, with European clubs reportedly interested in the Georgian forward.
