Ruby Ojiakor Debunks Rumors, Clarifies Relationship with Late Junior Pope

Nollywood actress Ruby Ojiakor has addressed rumors surrounding her relationship with the late actor Junior Pope, who tragically passed away in a boat accident on set.

In a video message shared on her Instagram page, Ruby clarified that Junior Pope was never her boyfriend, stating, "Junior Pope was never my boyfriend. There's no intimacy between myself and Junior Pope. We never dated. Junior Pope was never my intimate friend. He was just my friend. He was more than a friend. He was my big brother."

Ruby also debunked claims suggesting that Junior Pope was the father of her child, Royalty. She expressed amusement at the rumors, saying, "I also see a lot of posts, some persons will just screenshot and send to me and say, 'Look at what they're saying, they said he [Junior Pope] is Royalty's father.' I just looked at it and I laughed. How can people reason this way?" Ruby emphatically stated, "Please and please, Junior Pope is not Royalty's father. He's not my daughter's father. I just want to clarify this."

Junior Pope's untimely death occurred in a boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra state, claiming his life alongside four other movie crew members.

Ruby's clarification comes as a response to speculations surrounding their relationship, which have been circulating online. By addressing these rumors, Ruby seeks to honor Junior Pope's memory and set the record straight regarding their friendship.
