Chelsea and Napoli are currently engaged in negotiations for a potential swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen, as reported by prominent sources including David Ornstein.
The proposed arrangement would see Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker, make a permanent move to Napoli, while Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward, would join Chelsea on a season-long loan with an option to buy. This swap aims to fulfill the attacking requirements of both teams, offering a mutually advantageous solution.
Lukaku, who was deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea, spent the previous season on loan at AS Roma and is now a target for Napoli's manager Antonio Conte, with whom he has a history from their time together at Inter Milan. Conversely, Osimhen has been a long-term target for Chelsea, though his substantial release clause of over £100 million has posed a challenge.
