Denilson Igwe, a skit maker creator, has recently leveled serious accusations against his former colleague, Mark Angel, regarding the treatment of the young comedienne Emmanuella.
Following a recent video, Denilson claimed that Emmanuella lacks independence and continues to live with Mark Angel, contradicting earlier reports that she had built her own house.
These claims follow Denilson's appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he alleged that Mark Angel paid Emmanuella only N20,000 from the $160,000 their content generated. He also accused Mark of seizing all the funds from their collaborative videos. These accusations have sparked a wider discussion about the transparency and fairness in the distribution of earnings within the content creation industry.
In a subsequent video, Denilson further alleged that despite claims of Emmanuella building her own house, she and another young talent, Aunty Success, are still residing in Mark Angel’s house along with several boys. This, according to Denilson, raises concerns about their actual living conditions and autonomy.
Denilson stated that he is speaking out on Emmanuella's behalf because she cannot advocate for herself. He also pointed out that Mark Angel controls Emmanuella’s social media accounts, including TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, and personally manages the posts.
These allegations have highlighted significant issues regarding the management and treatment of young talents in the entertainment industry, prompting calls for increased transparency and improved measures to ensure their fair treatment and compensation.
