At the international level, Olofinjana represented Nigeria with distinction, earning 42 caps and scoring 4 goals between 2000 and 2010. He was a key player for the Super Eagles during the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring a memorable goal against Senegal in the quarterfinals.
