In a recent interview, celebrated football star Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his apprehensions regarding his son's extravagant expenditures, revealing a staggering weekly spend of $5,000 on haircuts and $40,000 on clothes and other indulgences.
Ronaldo, renowned for his dedication to family, conveyed his desire to instill financial prudence in his son, but fears potential media backlash, accusing him of being a neglectful father. The football icon stated, "To be honest, my son is very expensive for me. He wastes $40,000 a week on haircuts, clothes, restaurants, and everything else."
The Al Nassr star, who shares his son Cristiano Jr. (12) with former partner Georgina Rodriguez, also has three other children: twins Mateo and Eva (4), and daughter Alana Martina (4) with Georgina. He acknowledged the excessiveness of his son's spending habits for his age. He currently provides a weekly allowance of $15,000, which even Georgina believes is too generous. Ronaldo expressed his concerns, saying, "He spends almost all his money on clothes, haircuts, restaurants, and other things that are useless. I don't know if I'll be able to handle his expenses in the future."
Ronaldo's desire to teach his son the value of money is evident, as he wishes for him to experience life's challenges, saying, "I want him to suffer in life so he can understand the real value of money..." However, he feels constrained by potential media scrutiny, fearing being labeled a selfish and bad father.
Ronaldo's relationship with Georgina Rodriguez, a Spanish model and former dancer, has been a significant aspect of his life. The couple started dating in 2016 and have been inseparable ever since,
