Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia has resumed training after a prolonged absence.
In a statement, Manchester United announced that Malacia had returned to the training ground earlier in the week, with the Dutch fullback seen training individually under the supervision of medical staff .
It's been learnt that Malacia has been sidelined for several months due to a knee injury sustained during the summer.
Despite suffering a setback in his rehabilitation that required further surgery, Malacia is now on track to make a comeback.
His return to training is a welcome boost for Manchester United, who have struggled with injuries in the left-back position this season.
Meanwhile Luke Shaw, another left-back option for the team, has also been recovering from a muscle injury and recently returned to training and made Gareth Southgate England squad for the 2024 European Championships.
While Malacia's return to individual training is a positive development, it may still be some time before he rejoins the first team for full training.
