Ruud van Nistelrooy Set to Join Manchester United as Assistant Manager

Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has arrived in Manchester, paving the way for his official unveiling as the club's new assistant manager.

According to sources, Van Nistelrooy has already signed a two-year contract with the Red Devils, marking a significant return to the club where he made a lasting impact as a player.

Van Nistelrooy's impressive playing career at Manchester United saw him score 150 goals in 219 appearances, making him one of the club's most prolific strikers. His notable achievements include winning the Premier League Golden Boot in 2002-2003 and helping the team secure the 2002-2003 Premier League title.

In his new role, Van Nistelrooy will work closely with Manager Erik ten Hag, who has recently signed a new contract extension with Manchester United. Ten Hag's new deal will keep him at the helm until 2025, with an option for a further year.

The appointment of Van Nistelrooy as assistant manager is seen as a strategic move to bolster the team's attacking prowess and provide valuable insight to the players. His experience and expertise are expected to complement Ten Hag's managerial style, fostering a strong partnership that will drive the team forward.
