Zaniolo Joins Atalanta on Loan from Galatasaray in €6.4m Deal
Atalanta BC has announced the signing of Nicolò Zaniolo on a season-long loan from Turkish giants Galatasaray, in a deal worth €6.4 million plus add-ons.
The 25-year-old Italian forward joins the Bergamo-based club with an impressive résumé, boasting 94 Serie A appearances, 25 Premier League matches for Aston Villa (where he scored 2 goals during his loan spell in the 2022-2023 season), and 10 Süper Lig caps. Zaniolo's loan agreement includes a €2 million bonus clause, tied to specific performance metrics.
Notably, the deal features a €15.5 million buy option clause, which may become an obligation under certain conditions. This signals Atalanta's intent to make Zaniolo's move permanent, should he impress during his loan spell.
